Standing in solidarity
Whitehorse, November 17, 2015 - Standing in solidarity with France following the attacks in Paris last Friday, November 13, the Association franco-yukonnaise (AFY) invites Yukoners to take a few moments to collect their thoughts today, November 17, from 12:10 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Whitehorse City Hall (2121 2nd Avenue). At 12:15 p.m., there will be a minute of silence for the victims in front of the flags at half-mast.
"We want to give members of the community who wish it, the opportunity to gather together and reflect, thereby joining the groundswell of solidarity being shown all around the world," said AFY President Angélique Bernard. "We gratefully acknowledge the support of the City of Whitehorse."
AFY extends its thoughts and condolences to all those affected by these tragic events.
